Talking Puppet Animation

For our last project, we did an animation of a talking puppet we created. I draw my puppet in Photoshop and did the animation in After Effects. This was like the other puppet animation except the puppet had to sync to audio. The animation was ok, only wish I had more time to polish it.

Typography Animation

In this project, we took a sound file from a song or whatever and use the lines to make an animation that is synced with the audio. The animation was done in After Effects. This was fun and a good learning experience.

Frame-by-frame Animation

This project we did a frame by frame animation in Flash. This was not one of my favorite project to work on, I found it a bit troubling to redraw each frame and keep everything consistent. However, it was a good learning experience.

Hand Walking Animation

For this animation, we had to do a walk cycle. So while I was trying to come up with a idea for the animation, I was imagining how the walk cycle would be and was using my fingers to practice and that's when I decided why not an actual hand as the walking animation. I used Photoshop to draw the puppet and did the animation in After Effects. This was probably one of the more fun and enjoyable project to do. I liked the fact that I didn't draw every single frame, just move pieces of the puppet.
